Aceros Arequipa participará en la construcción de la línea 2 del metro de Lima
CAASA será parte de este megaproyecto que beneficiará a más de un millón de peruanos a lo largo de 13 distritos de Lima y Callao.
Lima, 20 de abril de 2016.- Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA) participará en la construcción de la Línea 2 del Metro de Lima, la mega obra de transporte público más importante en la historia del Perú, que permitirá a más de un millón de personas viajar desde el distrito de Ate hasta el Callao en tan solo 53 minutos.
Aceros Arequipa tendrá presencia en este proyecto histórico luego de haber suscrito un contrato con la empresa encargada del suministro, elaboración y montaje del acero en la obra por 249 mil toneladas, una cifra que impulsa el crecimiento de Aceros Arequipa y que la destaca como líder en el sector.
La construcción de la Línea 2 del Metro de Lima significa la creación del primer metro subterráneo del Perú. Tendrá una extensión de 35 kilómetros y atravesará los distritos de Ate, Santa Anita, El Agustino, San Luis, La Victoria, Jesús María, Breña, Cercado de Lima, San Miguel, Carmen de la Legua, Bellavista, La Perla y Callao, en 27 estaciones repartidas en toda la extensión de la obra.
Además este proyecto logrará en su recorrido la interconexión con el Metropolitano en la Estación Central, con Línea 1 en la Estación 28 de Julio y con las futuras Líneas 3 y 4 del Metro de Lima y Callao. La obra también incluye una ruta alimentadora que permitirá el acceso al Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez.
Actualmente el proyecto se encuentra en los trabajos de excavación de los túneles por los que pasará el metro subterráneo. Se estima que a fines del 2017 esté lista la primera etapa de esta obra, la cual comprende el tramo que se encuentra entre el Mercado Mayorista de Lima (Mercado de Santa Anita) con la Vía de Evitamiento.
Según el ministro de Transporte y Comunicaciones, José Gallardo Ku, el costo total del proyecto bordeará los 4.500 millones de dólares y la construcción finalizará en el 2021. “Es el proyecto más importante que tenemos en el sector Transportes y, además, forma parte de la solución al problema de la congestión vehicular en Lima Metropolitana”.
Cabe señalar que Aceros Arequipa también participó en la construcción de Línea 1 del Metro de Lima, así como en otros proyectos entre los que destacan el Túnel Gambetta - Callao, construcción de la Vía Costa Verde - tramo Callao, carretera Sub Tramo 2: El Arenal – Punta de Bombón- Arequipa, mejoramiento de la carretera DV Negromayo – Cusco, Nuevas Vías de Lima, mejoramiento de la Avenida de Evitamiento - Ciudad de Cusco, Carretera Camaná –Quilca-Matarani – Arequipa, Centro Comercial La Rambla en la Av. Brasil, Centro Comercial La Rambla en San Borja, La Planta de tratamiento de Cerro Verde – Arequipa, Puerto de Minerales Tisur - Arequipa, ampliación del Muelle Norte APM Terminales, Las Bambas - Project, Tintaya Project, Parque Eólico Tres Hermanas, entre otros.
