Lima, 12 de marzo de 2015. Corporación Aceros Arequipa, compañía peruana líder del sector siderúrgico, celebra sus 50 años con el lanzamiento de su renovada imagen de marca. Desde su nacimiento, la empresa ha apostado por el desarrollo del país, acompañando e impulsando el crecimiento económico de diversos sectores como: construcción, industria metal mecánica y minería a nivel nacional.
El compromiso con sus clientes y con el país exige alinear políticas y controles de calidad de acuerdo a estándares internacionales. Así, Corporación Aceros Arequipa logró ser la primera empresa peruana del sector siderúrgico en obtener las certificaciones internacionales ISO 9001: 2008 en todas sus sedes, la ISO 14001: 2004 y la OHSAS 18001:2007.
Asimismo, cumpliendo su compromiso con la sociedad y el medio ambiente, fue la primera siderúrgica en concluir la implementación del Programa de Adecuación y Manejo Ambiental (PAMA) y la única en recibir la certificación 'Sello Verde Peruano' entregado por el Consejo Peruano de Construcción Sostenible.
Sin embargo, la empresa no sólo ha emprendido una búsqueda continua por brindar soluciones que armonicen con el medioambiente, sino también por contar con tecnología de vanguardia. Inversiones como la de 1996 para la puesta en marcha de su planta de hierro esponja en Pisco; la automatización de su Línea de Laminación, y la implementación de su Planta de Laminado en frío en Pisco en el 2002; su nueva línea de producción de alambrón con una inversión de US$ 14.5 millones de dólares en el 2004; y la puesta en marcha de su segundo tren de laminación en Pisco, que les permitió duplicar su capacidad de laminación y alcanzar una capacidad de producción total de 1´350,000 toneladas de producto terminado, con una inversión de US$ 145 millones de dólares, demuestran su apuesta por el desarrollo de la industria nacional.
Adicionalmente es la única siderúrgica peruana con más de 8,000 puntos de venta a nivel nacional que además promueve permanentemente el desarrollo profesional de sus clientes, habiendo logrado capacitar gratuitamente en los últimos 12 años a más de 90,000 personas pertenecientes a los sectores de construcción, metal mecánica, minería, arquitectura y comercio.
De esta manera la evolución de su imagen de marca resume su carácter innovador, cercano, seguro y tenaz; y reafirma su compromiso de seguir ofreciendo al mercado productos y servicios de valor agregado que cumplan con los más altos estándares de calidad internacional, consolidando su liderazgo en el Perú y trascendiendo fronteras.
