ACEROS AREQUIPA SE POSICIONA COMO LA COMPAÑÍA LÍDER EN SOSTENIBILIDAD DE LATINOAMÉRICA
- Empresa siderúrgica ingresa, por tercer año consecutivo, al Índice de Sostenibilidad DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance y es incluida en el S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 por su destacado desempeño.
Lima 07 de febrero 2023.- Por tercer año consecutivo, la Corporación Aceros Arequipa S.A. (CAASA) ingresó al Índice de Sostenibilidad Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance, que mide el desempeño de las compañías consideradas las mejores en su clase por sus prácticas de sustentabilidad, reconocidas y valoradas por los inversionistas globales.
Tras la evaluación, CAASA obtuvo un puntaje de 75/100 y se ubica en la 3ra posición de la industria siderúrgica mundial, junto a Hyundai Steel de Corea y a Fortescue Metals, de Australia, liderando la evaluación en la industria a nivel Latinoamérica.
Asimismo, CAASA fue incluida en el S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 (Anuario de Sostenibilidad Global de S&P 2023) por su destacado desempeño en temas ambientales, sociales y de gobernanza, obteniendo el reconocimiento de Top 5% superior S&P Global ESG Score en el anuario.
Para la inclusión en el anuario de sostenibilidad, más de 7,800 empresas en el mundo fueron evaluadas (representando USD 84 billones en capitalización de mercado), de las cuales 2,279 participaron en la evaluación corporativa de sostenibilidad activamente (CSA) y 147 empresas pertenecen a la industria del Acero.
Aceros Arequipa destaca por integrar la estrategia de sostenibilidad en sus operaciones y, gracias a la inversión en nuevas tecnologías e innovación constante, busca soluciones que generen mayores eficiencias con menor impacto.
