El Índice de Sostenibilidad Dow Jones (“DJSI” por sus siglas en inglés), mide el desempeño de compañías consideradas las mejores de su clase en el cumplimiento de ciertos requisitos de sostenibilidad frente a sus pares.
Corporación Aceros Arequipa fue evaluada en términos ambientales, sociales y económicos, logrando ingresar por primera vez a este índice que es uno de los principales referentes mundiales en materia de buen gobierno y sostenibilidad.
Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA) ha sido incluido en el Índice de Sostenibilidad Dow Jones en la región MILA - Alianza del Pacífico (Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index), el cual es un índice bursátil compuesto por aquellas empresas que cumplen con ciertos requisitos de sostenibilidad de mejor manera que sus pares dentro de una determinada industria.
Este índice está conformado por 62 empresas, distinguidas en materia de sostenibilidad, inscritas en las bolsas de la Alianza del Pacífico: México, Chile, Colombia y Perú. De esta forma, proporciona a los inversionistas un benchmark objetivo para gestionar una cartera de inversión sostenible en la región.
CAASA fue evaluada en tres dimensiones: dimensión ambiental, que incluye criterios relacionados con el medio ambiente o eco-eficiencia; dimensión social, que se divide en dos aspectos: interno, que valora el desarrollo del capital humano, el fortalecimiento del talento y el aspecto externo, que trata todo aquello que está alrededor de la empresa, filantropía e imagen corporativa; y dimensión económica, que evalúa aspectos como la gestión de crisis y riesgos, códigos de conducta y el gobierno corporativo.
Este es un reconocimiento de gran valor para CAASA, ya que es uno de los principales referentes para los inversionistas en búsqueda de oportunidades de inversión en empresas sostenibles en el largo plazo.
