Aceros Arequipa inaugura la planta de tubos y perfiles conformados más moderna de Bolivia
Con una inversión de más de US$ 20 millones, la Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA) inauguró su nueva planta de producción de tubos y perfiles conformados en Bolivia, que cuenta con una capacidad de producción de 60,000 toneladas al año.
Lima, 20 de noviembre del 2023.- La Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA), siderúrgica peruana líder en la industria, realizó una inversión de más de USD $20 millones de dólares en una nueva planta de producción de tubos y perfiles conformados en Bolivia. Se trata de la más moderna en el país y a través de esta, la compañía tiene como objetivo potenciar su presencia a nivel regional.
“Inaugurar la planta de producción más moderna de Bolivia es realmente un hito y un orgullo. El objetivo de este emblemático proyecto es mejorar la atención a nuestros clientes locales y aumentar las exportaciones a los países limítrofes: Paraguay, Argentina y Brasil. Asimismo, refuerza la expansión y el posicionamiento de nuestra empresa como líder en el sector siderúrgico” señala Tulio Silgado, CEO de CAASA.
Aceros Arequipa viene incrementando su participación de mercado en Bolivia con sus líneas de productos por excelencia: barras corrugadas, tubos de acero, perfiles conformados, perfiles estructurales y productos planos.
La planta más moderna de Bolivia en cifras
Ubicada en el Parque Industrial Latinoamericano en Santa Cruz, Bolivia, la nueva planta de CAASA cuenta con una nave de 10,000 m2 ubicada en un terreno de 50,000 m2. En ella se producen tubos electrosoldados y perfiles de acero conformados en frío, asimismo, se realiza el corte de bobinas a flejes. Las tres líneas producen un total de 60,000 toneladas al año. Además, mediante la provisión de servicios como transporte, fletes y logística, el megaproyecto brinda trabajo a 90 personas de forma directa y a otras 150 de manera indirecta.
“Esta nueva planta nos permite llevar la calidad que nos caracteriza a un siguiente nivel, ya que al producir localmente, el producto terminado se conserva mejor y llega en óptimo estado a todos nuestros clientes. Además, mejora el nivel de servicio y optimiza el capital de trabajo”, asegura Ricardo Cillóniz Rey, gerente de Proyectos, Minería, Responsabilidad Social e Innovación de Aceros Arequipa.
La apuesta de la compañía por este importante proyecto cuenta con una inversión en maquinaria italiana de última generación, considerada la mejor tecnología del mercado en materia de fabricación de tubos y perfiles conformados. Para CAASA, Bolivia ofrece muchas oportunidades de crecimiento, no solo a nivel local, sino que también abre puertas al mercado internacional, volviéndose un mercado clave en el desarrollo y expansión de la compañía.
