Aceros Arequipa escala 22 posiciones en el ranking de Merco Responsabilidad ESG 2023
Con el puesto 27, la Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA) es la única compañía siderúrgica del país reconocida en la edición 2023 del monitor empresarial más importante de Iberoamérica.
Lima, 2 de febrero del 2024.- La Corporación Aceros Arequipa (CAASA) obtuvo el puesto 27 de las 100 empresas líderes en sostenibilidad en el Perú dentro del ranking Merco Responsabilidad ESG 2023. La compañía se consolidó por tercer año consecutivo como la líder y única compañía siderúrgica peruana incluida en el ranking.
La corporación escaló 22 posiciones en comparación al año anterior, uniéndose al Top de las 30 empresas más responsables del Perú. “Es un gran orgullo para CAASA estar entre las 30 empresas más responsables del país. Desde su fundación, hace 60 años, CAASA ha estado comprometida con la sostenibilidad, su gente y la calidad de sus productos. Esto siempre nos ha impulsado a luchar por nuestros objetivos dejando un impacto positivo”, señaló Tulio Silgado, CEO de CAASA.
Aceros Arequipa implementa constantemente estrategias integrales de sostenibilidad que impactan en toda la cadena de valor de la compañía, desde la recolección de chatarra ferrosa reciclada hasta los sistemas de eficiencia para reducir la merma de las operaciones; tal como sucede con el programa de reutilización de polvo de acería. “Nos enorgullece saber que este es un reconocimiento al trabajo que venimos haciendo para implementar la sostenibilidad en todos los procesos de la compañía. Gracias a ello, hemos logrado escalar varias posiciones en este ranking: 45 posiciones desde el 2021, para ser precisos”, acotó.
Sobre el ranking Merco Responsabilidad y ESG 2023
El ranking evalúa los distintos aspectos de las empresas que son mencionadas en cada edición. Este año el análisis fue realizado en base a 31 mil 444 encuestas aplicadas de la mano con Datum International a directivos, expertos en RSC, analistas financieros, consumidores, autoridades, encargados de gestión de personas, sindicatos, periodistas, entre otros.
