Con el objetivo de impulsar el desarrollo de los sectores de Construcción y Metal Mecánica, Corporación Aceros Arequipa viene desarrollando desde el año 2002 diversos Programas de Capacitación gratuita dirigidos a los trabajadores de la Construcción y Metal Mecánica. A través de estos programas se busca enriquecer sus conocimientos y habilidades profesionales para un óptimo desempeño de sus labores.
Estos programas se desarrollan a nivel nacional, contando para ello con un experimentado equipo de docentes. Así mismo, cada programa cuenta con materiales didácticos y certificados de capacitación.
Son capacitaciones teórico-prácticas en las que se capacita a los asistentes sobre el proceso de producción del acero, propiedades del fierro de construcción, controles de calidad y el correcto uso del fierro en la obra. Además, en el taller práctico, los asistentes aprenden técnicas sobre el correcto doblado del acero, armado de columnas, vigas y zapatas, entre otros.
Tienen como objetivo enriquecer el oficio y diversificar la oferta del carpintero metálico, a través de técnicas y consejos para desarrollar proyectos innovadores desde la concepción del proyecto hasta los acabados. En la parte teórica, los asistentes son capacitados sobre las propiedades y beneficios de las barras y perfiles, tubos de acero y herramientas; así mismo reciben consejos útiles para el desarrollo de sus proyectos. En la parte práctica, desarrollan un proyecto para aplicar lo aprendido y perfeccionar sus técnicas de trabajo.
