¡Para el carpintero metálico que si sabe de fierro!
Conferencia en California
Durante los días 24, 25, 26 y 27 de abril de 2008, se llevó a cabo la Conferencia CBA "By Hammer and Hand", realizada por la Asociación de Herreros de California en Estados Unidos de Norteamérica y la Línea Barras y Perfiles de Aceros Arequipa estuvo presente para compartir contigo los últimos avances interna¬cionales en carpintería metálica.
Una vez más, tus amigos de Barras y Perfiles de Aceros Arequipa hicieron el esfuerzo por llegar has¬ta la ciudad de Vista en el estado de California, para asistir a una de las conferencias de herreros más importantes del mundo, que reúne a renombrados participantes tanto de Estados Unidos como de otros países.
Este año, se tocaron tres aspectos muy importantes:
demostraciones de herrería realizadas por expositores de todo el mundo, programas de interés para profesionales de la herrería y talleres prácticos para principiantes y expertos.
Una de las actividades más resaltantes fue el desarrollo de un panel de exitosos y reconocidos carpinteros metálicos, que debatieron y discutieron acerca de los diferentes aspectos del sector metalmecánico. Hablaron de sus logros, experien-cias y de cómo llegar a triunfar en el sector. Para este panel, fue invitado un amigo de toda la familia de carpinteros metálicos del Perú: Brent Bailey. ¡Felicitaciones Brent!
Algunos consejos recogidos de la charla: Planificar todo lo que se va a hacer. Tener los objetivos claros y saber hacia dónde se quiere llegar. Buscar la manera de diferenciarse de los demás y ser original. Identificar un segmento de mercado y explotarlo al máximo.
Trabajar en conjunto, creando asociaciones y redes entre carpinteros metálicos. Para nosotros, es importante participar constantemente en este ti¬po de actividades porque, de esta manera, podemos informarte acerca de lo que se está haciendo en otros países y ayudarte a estar al tanto de las tendencias del sector, sabiendo hacia dónde se dirige.
A continuación, uno de los proyectos que se rea¬lizaron en la conferencia: La Rosa.
Este proyecto sumamente artístico fue realizado por el expositor Jhon West; y ahora, tus amigos de Barras y Perfiles de Aceros Arequipa estamos trabajando para poder replicar este taller en el Perú. ¡Pronto seras tú quien realizará este proyecto!
Tenemos además, otra novedad: cómo trabajar el acero con el vidrio. Una de las exposiciones con¬sistió en esta técnica, para la cual se realizó una muestra muy decorativa de lo que puede llegar a ser un adorno o una reja, utilizando esta combi¬nación de materiales. Aquí algunas imágenes. Finalmente, queremos decirte que en la Línea Barras y Perfiles de Aceros Arequipa realizamos estos viajes con la finalidad de actualizarnos y preparar proyectos novedosos y creativos para ti.
