It is produced in 9 m and 12 m long bars in the following diameters: 6mm, 8mm, 3/8“, 12mm, 1/2”, 5/8“, 3/4”, 1“, 1 1/4” and 1 3/8”. Other diameters and lengths required by customers can be produced upon agreement. It is supplied in 2 ton packages, in rods and as Dimensioned Steel.
A706 steel is used as reinforcement for reinforced concrete in earthquake-resistant structures - as specified in the Peruvian National Building Regulations (Standard E.060) and the American Concrete Institute Regulations (ACI 318, section 21) - and where welded structures are required.
